Gaining ClarityLets take a step back and go into my backstory a bit, If many of you are following me on X, you may have seen and read my story. As a former pro athlete to an entrepreneur, the journey wasn't smooth sailing. I went through a lot of deep work within myself once I had to hang up the boots. Retiring from the sport made me feel like I was stepping into a world of uncertainty. I felt scared as I viewed myself as a "regular person" and with that mindset, that shift led me straight into an identity crisis. I felt lost, confused, scared, like I was stuck in a foggy maze with no clear path. I wasn't happy with myself. Most of the time, I just ignored it and did things to distract myself. It was like I was wearing a mask, not sure who I really was. One day, I came to a realization that I couldn't live with myself and feel like this. I had enough and I wanted to change a lot in my life - my purpose, my health, money, job, and how I was living life. But honestly, I didn't know what to do. Lacking all of that clarity in life, I knew I had to gain some. Not having a clear idea is like having a messy room. It brings stress, makes you not do things, and you can't focus on one thing. I had to become clear about what I wanted, which allowed me to focus, take action. Lack of clarity can lead to the opposite of those, it can lead to stress, anxiety, overthinking, damaging your well being and the well being of others around you. Here are the top 5 areas most people seek clarity in:
All are interconnected to one, ourselves. Clarity has role and part in each one. However, you don't have to be perfect, and you won't figure everything out quickly. It's something you can get better at over time. The more you understand things, the more you'll be able to focus better, stay calm, and feel motivated. So.. the question is.. how does one gain and obtain clarity? Here is how: Carve out some time when things are unclear, create space to gain clarity. Go with the flow, if it's for an hour, a couple of hours, half a day, or the whole day, allow yourself that time. Follow these steps: Reflection: Inner and Outer work - Spend the time reflecting on your actions, your feelings, your emotions, your thoughts. Meditation - Use it as a tool to spend time in nature with yourself. Hold a question in your mind, like "Who do I have to become here?" See what emerges as you spend time with yourself. Journaling - Write about what you need clarity on. Write down your feeling, emotions, thoughts. Let your thoughts flow. Use a prompt like "What specific areas of my life feel unclear or uncertain right now?" Reading and Learning - Dive into books, articles, or educational materials related to areas where you seek clarity. Learn from others experiences and gather information to inform your reflections. Talk to Others (my favorite) - Share your thoughts and uncertainties with others. Express your fears. Express what may be holding you back. Express it all. Create a space that allows you to be free of judgement and free to speak from the heart. While doing this, as yoou converse, hear their thoughts and hear yourself speak, you will find some powerful insights that can bring valuable clarity. Taking Action: Becoming - As you spend time reflecting with yourself, you will start to gain a bit of clarity and have an idea of who you have to become in order to reach your certain desire and outcome. Ask yourself: "What does the future me look like? What actions and habits characterize them? How do they overcome challenges, continuously learn, and maintain alignment with their purpose?" Envision their daily routine, surroundings, and celebration of successes to gain clarity on the person you are becoming in pursuit of your desires. Write it Down - Write down that clarity, write down your purpose, write down who you are becoming, jot it down in simple terms. This helps make it clearer and sets the foundation for taking action. Take Action - Don't wait for perfection, it doesn't exist. This is where most fail and get stuck at. Once you have a vision, you have your purpose, you have clarity → take action. Take the initial steps, big or small, and learn from the experience. Action will lead to more clarity. Back to Reflection (Repeat) - Every day, week, month, allow yourself to take a step back and assess how things are going. Going back to the process of Reflection, adjust. What have you learned? What obstacles are in the way? Use these insights to gain even more clarity. Write it down simply and take action again. In this journey, the question arises: How can you commit to creating space, gaining clarity, and taking intentional steps toward becoming the person you aspire to be? NEW OFFER |
